We answer your questions about the operation, security, and data sovereignty of Duke App.

All photos and prescriptions are saved exclusively on your device. Duke App makes a local copy of the images so that, even if you delete them from your main photo gallery, they remain accessible and secured within the application.

Absolutely not. Faithful to the principles of Privacy by Design and Data Sovereignty, all health information, weight logs, medical appointments, notes, and photos reside uniquely and exclusively in the internal storage of your own mobile phone.

Since Duke App has no databases in the cloud and requires no account registration, you are the sole guardian of your data. It is extremely important that you perform regular local backups from the side menu (generating a .duke file) and save it to your preferred storage space (Google Drive, iCloud, email, or a flash drive). If you change phones, you can restore your entire history with a single click by importing that file.

We request the minimum permissions necessary to guarantee the best user experience: access to the Camera and Gallery to attach photos of your companions and prescriptions, and Local Notifications permission to send you alerts for medical appointments, vaccines, or backup reminders without relying on the internet.

The premium Sakura Night theme (Midnight Berry background and Sakura pink accents) is a gift to our community. You can unlock it completely free of charge by accumulating 500 Vitality points with any of your pets in the app (by logging their care and keeping their profiles updated), sharing the app, or supporting the project directly.
